This Privacy Policy describes how the QuizPaws service (the “Service”) collects, uses, and processes users’ personal data.

We only collect data necessary for the Service to function.

When you sign in with Google, we obtain:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Unique Google ID
  • Profile photo (avatar)

Passwords are not stored by us.

2.2 Technical Data

We automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • User agent (browser/device type)
  • Session logs
  • App installation identifier (e.g. Firebase Installation ID) and push notification token (FCM registration token) if you use push notifications.

2.3 Usage Data

We store:

  • Game progress
  • Game results and history
  • User settings (language, theme, other preferences)

2.4 Cookies and Storage

We use:

  • session cookies for authentication.
  • localStorage for saving interface settings.

2.5 Analytics

We may use Google’s analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics on the web and/or Firebase Analytics in the mobile app, if used) to analyze Service usage and improve the Service.
Google Analytics may use cookies and other technologies to collect information about use of the Service. These technologies may include cookies or similar tools.

3. How we use data

We use data to:

  • Provide access to your account
  • Operate the game
  • Save your progress
  • Personalize your experience (language, settings)
  • Analyze and improve the Service

We do not use personal data for personalized advertising.

8. Data retention

We keep personal data:

  • Until the user requests deletion.

After an account is deleted, all personal data is irreversibly removed, except where retention is required by law.

This web page allows the user to initiate account and data deletion and explains which data will be deleted or retained (for legal reasons) and the processing timelines.

Upon deletion:

  • All personal data is deleted or anonymized.
  • Some technical or legally required data may be retained as required by law.

Providing your email and name via Google sign-in is necessary to create and maintain your account and progress. If you do not provide this data, you may not have access to account-specific features. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling with legal effects.

11. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to ensure the Service works properly. Some cookies are necessary (e.g. for authentication) and cannot be disabled. Other cookies (especially analytics) may only be used with user consent where required by law. You can manage cookies via your browser settings.

If consent is required by law for analytics cookies, we display a cookie consent banner where you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time in your browser settings.

We implement reasonable organizational and technical security measures, including:

Other users can see game results if they have been shared.
